This site was created based on our experience running Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue. There have been too many times where we've seen people adopt dogs without proper counseling, struggle with integrating a dog into their homes, or have questions about everything from training to safety to health and more. We've watched adoptions fail and dogs lose their homes for workable issues.

That's not ok. We want to change that.

At Diamond's Friends Pet Rescue, we believe that dog adoption should NEVER be without guidance. We believe in dog adoption WITH guidance. That's what we bring to our adoptions, and we want to provide resources and support to people who may not be getting the support they need from the shelter or rescue they got their dog from.

While we are focused on adoption, most of the articles on our site still apply no matter where you get your dog. Ultimately, we want to help you find the right dog for you AND make sure that dog stays in your home for the rest of their life. THAT keeps dogs out of shelters and saves lives.
 
We believe that every dog deserves a loving and forever home, and we are dedicated to promoting responsible dog ownership and adoption practices. We've compiled information from our own experiences along with data and recommendations from some of the most reputable dog experts and sources to help YOU have a fulfilling relationship with your dog.
